Friday, August 4th: DogHouse

The band’s influences – and set-lists – include tunes written and sung by mostly singer-songwriters (i.e Simon & Garfunkel, the Beatles, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Ray Lamontagne, Van Morrison, Martin Sexton), 70’s jam bands (i.e. Allman Brothers, Little Feet, the Band, The Grateful Dead), as well as more Jazz R&B styles (i.e. Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Doobie Brothers, Johnny Nash, Marvin Gaye).  On special occasions – when the audience is in a listening mood – the band will introduce some of its original music, most of which has been recorded and is available on the web (though under other names like Chowder & Mark Weigel). The band of fathers have day jobs in media, finance, education, mid-size manufacturing and medicine, but the ghost of over 100 years of cumulative musical performance experience drives the band’s love of, enthusiasm for, and energy in live performance.  Come out and hear them play – woof!

Friday, Jun 28th: The Angry O’Haras
  • Featuring live music from The Angry O’Haras based in Ridgefield, Conn. Their Progressive Bluegrass style will drive deep into your soul as they get the most out of their acoustic instrumentation. Instead of having a lead singer, they use a nonstop orchestration of unconventional vocals while delivering plenty of three and four part harmony singing. The majority of their songs are reinventions of traditional folk songs, favorites you may have grown up with or something new with an added twist.

Thursday, Feb 16th: Mike Latini Trio
Mike likes to describe his music as “eclectic acoustic Americana”. Backed by Jim Nowak on bass and Tom Durante on keyboards, he plays acoustic guitar and harmonica, and writes immediately accessible music with a unique lyrical perspective. Delivered with an engaging personal style, his songs ride the rails from the sublime to the ridiculous, making all the stops in between. He has recently released a new record called “Ace LaVida” which can be heard at www.mikelatini.com
