What We Are

You’re likely to stand in line with equestrians in jodhpurs and car enthusiasts with vintage keys. Pardon us as the small children race past you to the bakery window, bellying up and wide-eyed. There’s an old-timey feel to this converted gas station where food and drink are generously proportioned and robustly flavored. A community hub has been established and this corner lot has become a corner stone.

Located in the heart of upper Westchester, Hayfields is situated along the border of N.Y. and Conn. The food is homemade and fresh. The floral is unique and custom. Our service is friendly and goods are cost-effective. We cater to everyone offering a variety that meets the needs of the community while maintaining an agricultural & market vibe.

Although small, Hayfields has a mighty arm in breakfast & lunch, coffee and espresso, creative catering and artistic floral thanks to the efforts of our in-house chefs, floral designers, collaborative consultants and active owners. We strive for amazing production and do so with perfect aplomb.

What’s with the name, you ask? Well thanks to the Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Crop and Soil Sciences (wow – that’s a mouth full!) there are some beautiful small hayfields on Mills Road that we own. They came up with an appropriate mix primarily of Timothy and Foxtail which has been providing stunning landscapes for residents, galloping fields for horses and feed for local cattle. As we spent many nights and long hours deciding on our brand, these hayfields continued to resonate. A true essence and foundation of the agricultural and market vibe we have, it only seemed fitting. And fun!
